Photographing dressage horses with all their lovely pizzazz & presence was a contrast for me after taking photos for a lot of western horses at the AQHANZ Nationals
Photographing different disciplines is a learning curve. Western riders like their loping shots at a different stage of the gait than english riders.
The top lines & head carriages are different between the disciplines so adaptation in my approach to each is required. It just isn't going to work if I try to make an English horse look like a western pony.
I enjoy photographing all horses, no matter the discipline & I am open & willing to photographing ALL THE DISCIPLINES!!! Celebrating the versatility of this incredible animal.
